As of the beginning of 2014 this website includes a number of pages that are exclusively for Society members. These pages include downloadable versions of our latest Newsletter and Journal, plus access to Society publications dating back to 1973 via our FlipBook library. There is a version of our online shop with its own price structure. Members might also be interested in a number of very early films, some dating back to the late 1890’s, that we have in our archives. Copyright restrictions mean that sadly we cannot share these publicly but do allow sharing to the membership. From time to time the Society are gifted items to sell to raise funds, the members pages will be used to offer these items to the membership only in the first instance.

‘The Waverley Gathering’ for 2024 will take place on the 20th of April at The Waverley Hotel, Pedley Street, Crewe, CW2 7AA.
11am to 6pm with a cold buffet lunch served between 12noon and 1:30pm. Click here for details
The Society AGM will be held on Saturday 1st June 2024. It will be held at the Dudley Canal Trust with members also being able to fully participate via Zoom. Apart from the business of the AGM we hope to be able to arrange interesting displays and, hopefully, talks for the remainder of the day. This notice will be updated with full details nearer to the time.
Society members are asked to register in order to take part, either in person or via Zoom. All AGM paper will be sent out to all those registered at least a week before the event.
Next Study Centre open day is Saturday 11th May
Our Study Centre in Kenilworth Warwickshire is open every week, usually on Wednesdays and one Saturday of the month. See the calendar for exact dates.
We hold a “Modellers Day” each year at our Study Centre. The 2024 event is booked for Saturday, 20th July. This event is open to all and visitors are encouraged to bring their own models along.

We attend model railway and model engineering exhibitions several times a year.
Scalefour Crewe 8th & 9th June The second Scalefour Society exhibition in Crewe, this year featuring the Clarendon & Scrubbs Lane P4 layout which is LNWR based.
