Mystery Number 253
– supplied by Ron Smith
Supplied to us by member Ron Smith, this photograph was in a scrapbook and is marked on the rear as Hartington Station. Hartington station was on the Ashbourne Line, and was a couple of miles from Hartington town.
Can anyone identify if this is in fact Hartington station and provide any more information about it?

|This looks like a block of 4 dwelling houses and looking at the 25 inch Ordnance Survey for 1919 there is such a block on the east side of the station. The siding is in the right relative position for the siding to Station Quarry although the stop block does raise a doubt, since the siding on the map does continue much further. Overall I think this probably is Hartington station.|
