Beames 0-8-4T Explain 'Beames 0-8-4T Locomotive Class' No.7947 waits on shed Explain 'Shed' in LMS days, out of steam but fully coaled up. The LNW had been reluctant to fit smoke box Explain 'Smoke Box' number plates but 7947 has one here. Look how thick the wooden pads are on which the buffers Explain 'Buffer' were mounted — simply to make them longer.
