No.2532 is an unsuperheated Explain 'Super Heated Steam' ‘D’ class Explain '‘D’ 0-8-0 Locomotive class' 0-8-0 originally built as a ‘A’ class Explain '‘A’ 0-8-0 Locomotive Class' compound Explain 'Compounding' in 1895 (note flush-fitting front crank pin Explain 'Crank Pin'). It was rebuilt many times: after conversion to a ‘D’ Explain '‘D’ 0-8-0 Locomotive class' it became a ‘G1’ Explain '‘G1’ 0-8-0 Locomotive Class' in 1926 then a ‘G2A’ Explain '‘G2A’ 0-8-0 Locomotive Class' in 1939, finally being taken into British Rail stock, renumbered 49029 and scrapped after a creditable 55 year history in May 1950.
